The R449 Voltage Regulator (AVR) actively controls alternator output by regulating the exciter field current, ensuring stable and precise voltage for your generator. Compatible with AREP or PMG excitation systems, the R449 comes standard on Ø8100 and Ø9100 series alternators and supports LSA51.2, LSA53.1, and LSA54 models.

This shunt-type AVR maintains steady-state voltage regulation of ±0.5% and offers rapid response times, protecting your system during transient load changes. With optional Load Adjustment Module (LAM), the R449 reduces voltage by approximately 15% during low-speed operation, limiting active load by about 25% until the generator returns to rated speed.

Adjustments include quadrature droop and alternator output voltage, allowing precise tuning for optimal performance. The R449 ensures reliable, efficient, and consistent power output for a wide range of industrial generator applications.
