HOTSTART EE engine heaters provide certified heating solutions for hazardous locations and are available in both single-phase and three-phase configurations. These systems hard-wire directly into the main electrical supply and meet Class I, Group D hazardous location requirements.
The EE series features the same pressure die-cast aluminum tank, built-in high-limit thermostat, and optional flow-through thermostat found in HOTSTART CB and CL heaters. It adds an all-metal mounting bracket and delivers heating power up to 5 kW, making it ideal for large, heavy-duty engine applications.
Mounted externally to the engine block, EE heaters use natural convection through the thermosiphon principle, eliminating the need for a mechanical pump. Their adaptable design allows installation across a wide range of engines without requiring custom water-jacket components.
Preheating diesel and gas engines enables fast starts, rapid load acceptance, and reduced wear on critical components. Industries that rely on continuous engine availability—such as fleet operations, mining, excavation, data centers, hospitals, and backup power facilities—depend on consistent engine heating to maximize equipment life and minimize downtime.
